Pass the Keys Mayfair

The Elizabeth Line is the fastest way to get from Heathrow straight into the heart of London, without the changes and crowds of the older Underground lines. If you're staying with us in Mayfair, Marylebone, Fitzrovia or Soho, this line will almost certainly become your main route around the city.

What Is the Elizabeth Line

The Elizabeth Line is a modern Transport for London railway connecting the west and east of the city straight through the centre. It runs across 41 stations, including key interchanges such as Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon and Liverpool Street. Trains run frequently, platforms are spacious, and the line cuts journey times significantly compared with older Underground routes.

Getting from Heathrow to Your Apartment

The Elizabeth Line connects Heathrow's terminals directly to central London with no changes needed. The stations closest to our apartments are:

• Bond Street — the nearest station for guests staying in Mayfair, sitting between Paddington and Tottenham Court Road.
• Tottenham Court Road — convenient for guests in Soho and Fitzrovia, just steps from Oxford Street.
• Farringdon — useful if you need to change onto Thameslink, for example to reach Gatwick Airport.

The journey from Heathrow to Bond Street or Tottenham Court Road takes around 30 to 40 minutes, depending on your terminal.

How to Pay for Your Journey

• The simplest way is to tap a contactless card or phone at the gate — no separate ticket needed.
• Fares are calculated automatically by zone, just like on the Underground.
• Journeys to and from Heathrow are charged at a higher rate — budget for this on your first and last day.
• An Oyster card works just as well if you already use one around London.

5 Tips from Locals

• Arrive at the station 10 to 15 minutes before your train — platforms are long and it can take a moment to reach the right one.
• Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road both have multiple entrances at opposite ends of the street — check the map so you exit close to your apartment.
• Morning peak (8:00–9:30) and evening peak (17:00–18:30) are the busiest times, so plan around them if you can.
• Lifts and escalators are available at every station on the line, which helps a lot with luggage.
• Wi-Fi and mobile signal are reliable on platforms and on board.
