Extra income: Short letting your property in the Chilterns can provide an additional source of income. As a result, short-term rentals can be in high demand, especially during peak tourist seasons.

Lower vacancy rates: Short letting your property can help to reduce vacancy rates, ensuring that your property is occupied and generating income. This is especially important for properties that may be difficult to rent out on a long-term basis.
Property maintenance: Short letting can help to keep your property well-maintained, as guests are likely to treat it with more care and respect than long-term tenants. # Springtime Delights: Exploring National Trust Sites in Buckinghamshire
If you're planning a springtime getaway to the picturesque county of Buckinghamshire, you're in for a treat. This charming region is home to several stunning National Trust properties that offer a wealth of activities and events, especially during the spring months. Here's a guide to some of the top National Trust sites to visit and things to do during your stay. Waddesdon Manor One of the most impressive National Trust properties in Buckinghamshire is Waddesdon Manor. This stunning French Renaissance-style château was built in the late 19th century for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild. In the spring, the gardens burst into life with colorful displays of tulips, daffodils, and other spring blooms. Don't miss the special springtime events at Waddesdon, including the "Wedding Cake Morning Guided Tours" where you can explore artist Joana Vasconcelos' extraordinary 12-meter tall wedding cake sculpture. You can also join a "Cellar Tour & History of Rothschild Wines" to discover the manor's historic wine cellars. Stowe Gardens Another must-visit National Trust site in Buckinghamshire is Stowe Gardens. This vast 18th-century landscape garden is a masterpiece of design, with sweeping vistas, ornamental lakes, and classical temples. In the spring, the gardens are particularly lovely, with carpets of bluebells and other wildflowers. Take a leisurely stroll through the gardens and join one of the "Wildflower Walks" to learn about the diverse flora and how the National Trust manages the gardens and parkland for nature. For early risers, the "Early Bird 'Dawn Chorus' Walk" is a magical experience, where you can watch the sunrise and listen to the birdsong. Hughenden History buffs won't want to miss Hughenden, the former home of Victorian prime minister Benjamin Disraeli. This handsome manor house is surrounded by rolling parkland and offers fascinating insights into Disraeli's life and times. This spring, Hughenden is exploring the theme of "Myths & Mythmaking" with a special exhibition in the manor called "Who are you and What are you?" which delves into how Disraeli used myths to craft his public persona. You can also join a guided walk of the manor and upper parkland to learn more about the estate's history and natural beauty. Claydon House Claydon House is a splendid 18th-century English country house with a remarkable rococo interior. In the spring, the gardens are a delight, with spring bulbs and blossoming fruit trees. Visit on Florence Nightingale's birthday (May 12) to join a special "Florence Nightingale Tour" and discover more about the life and legacy of this legendary nurse, who was a frequent visitor to Claydon. Children will enjoy the "Sunflower Seed Planting" activity, where they can plant a seed and learn about gardening from the experts. Greys Court Just over the border in Oxfordshire, Greys Court is a picturesque 16th-century mansion with a series of intimate walled gardens. In late April and early May, the gardens host the annual "Henley Arts Trail", showcasing the work of local artists and craftspeople. As you can see, springtime in Buckinghamshire is a wonderful time to explore the county's rich heritage and natural beauty. With so many exciting events and activities on offer at the National Trust properties, you'll be spoilt for choice. Whether you're a nature lover, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing break, Buckinghamshire has something for everyone.
